BKC

BKC International Electronics, later BKC Semiconductors Incorporated, manufactured discrete, single-function semiconductor devices at 6 Lake Street in Lawrence, Massachusetts. The company was a qualified supplier of MIL-S-19500 semiconductor devices and produced diodes and rectifiers used for signal switching, voltage conversion, rectification and surge suppression in military, space and commercial equipment. Its output also included power semiconductors used by industrial, automotive, defense, telecommunications and aerospace customers. Microsemi acquired BKC in 1998 and the operation was subsequently closed; Microsemi itself became part of Microchip Technology in 2018.
