Microsemi

Microsemi Corporation was founded in February 1959 in Culver City, California and grew into a supplier of high-reliability semiconductors and system components headquartered in Aliso Viejo, California. Its portfolio included flash-based and space-grade FPGAs and SoCs, radiation-hardened and high-performance analog mixed-signal integrated circuits, discrete power and RF devices, storage and PCIe switching controllers, Ethernet PHYs and switches, Power over Ethernet ICs, and timing and synchronisation products including atomic clocks and rugged oscillators. The company served defense, aerospace, communications, data center, industrial and medical markets. Microchip Technology announced the acquisition of Microsemi in early 2018 for over US$10 billion and completed it in May 2018.
