About ITT Cannon

ITT Cannon traces its origins to 1915, when James H. Cannon established the Cannon Electric Development Company in a backyard shed in Los Angeles. The company introduced the Cannon P connector used for early sound film, the XLR audio connector and the D-subminiature connector, and today produces circular and rectangular connectors, micro and nano interconnects, backshells, high-speed 38999-style connectors and lithium-ion battery connectors. Product families include the APD, CTC, HDx, MKJ Warrior, Nemesis and Trident series serving aerospace, space, defense, ground vehicle, e-mobility, industrial, medical and rail markets. ITT acquired Cannon in 1963, and the business - renamed ITT Interconnect Solutions in 2007 and headquartered in Irvine, California - remains a division of ITT Inc.
