Can you source MIL-PRF-55365 M-level tantalum?

Yes. Defense-grade CWR-series and M39006 wet slug are the tightest tantalum P/Ns we source. Full MIL-PRF certificate of conformance where the source can provide it. We prefer full BOM quotes with program name and cycle horizon for defense work.

What documentation comes with a hi-rel capacitor quote?

Manufacturer certificate of conformance, MIL-PRF slash-sheet reference, date code, country of origin, RoHS/RoHS-exempt status, and lot-level traceability. For defense programs we can also route testing (electrical, X-ray, hi-pot) through a partner lab.

Do you handle EV DC-link capacitor quotes?

Yes. EV traction inverter DC-link and DC fast-charger capacitors are a regular quote lane. AEC-Q200 documentation, spec match on capacitance/voltage/ESR, and current-handling paperwork on request.

Why is redesign rarely an option on tantalum?

Because qualification runs 12–18 months for defense and aerospace, and drop-in tantalum equivalents almost never exist across manufacturers — dielectric behavior, ESR, and voltage derating curves all differ enough that a substitute part triggers a full requal. Sourcing the exact P/N is nearly always cheaper.
