High-end FPGAs.
Sourced.

Hybrid Electronics sources Lattice, AMD/Xilinx, and Altera FPGAs on allocation — CrossLink, CertusPro, Zynq UltraScale+, Versal, Agilex 5 and 7 — for AI acceleration, defense, industrial vision, and 5G infrastructure programs when franchise supply can't cover the schedule.

The 2026 picture

The 2026 FPGA shortage in one paragraph.

FPGA lead times in 2026 tell two stories. Advanced-node parts (5nm and 7nm — AMD/Xilinx Versal, Altera Agilex 7, Lattice CertusPro) are constrained by AI-driven demand consuming the same TSMC and Intel Foundry packaging capacity used for AI accelerators. Mid-range Lattice iCE40 and MachXO parts got dragged into the AI displacement story when hyperscaler ODMs pivoted to Lattice for peripheral management and low-power AI inference — a family that historically sat at 8-week lead times is now quoted at 44–55.

We source across the full Lattice, AMD/Xilinx, Altera, and Microchip PolarFire lines with a focus on program-critical parts your franchise channel can't cover on your schedule. Full manufacturer traceability, date codes, and spec match on every quote.

CROSSLINK · CERTUSPRO · MACHXO · ICE40

Lattice FPGA shortage sourcing.

StatusAllocation across CrossLink, CertusPro, MachXO3
Lead time44–55 weeks (was 8 in 2024)
PricingSpot 2–4× book on CrossLink and CertusPro

Lattice moved from a mid-tier commodity FPGA vendor to an AI-server BMC and peripheral-management play, and the demand shift is why lead times exploded from 8 weeks to 44–55 in 18 months. CrossLink NX and CertusPro NX are the parts driving that — hyperscaler ODMs adopted them for platform management and inference peripheral roles.

MachXO3D for platform security is on the same allocation. iCE40 UltraPlus is still a lower-tier issue but has extended past its historical lane. We source Lattice against ODM excess, canceled AI-server programs, and legitimate spot channel — full manufacturer paperwork on every lot.

VERSAL · ZYNQ · AGILEX · STRATIX

AMD/Xilinx & Altera high-end FPGA sourcing.

StatusAdvanced-node allocation, contract-only channel
Lead time40–78 weeks on Versal and Agilex 7
PricingLong-tail contract holds · limited spot

AMD Versal AI Edge and Versal Premium, Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC, and RFSoC are all quoted at 40+ weeks with contract-only franchise access on the AI Edge parts. Altera (now standalone from Intel) Agilex 7 is at 52+ weeks; Agilex 5 pilot volumes are still being metered. Stratix 10 remains on long-cycle contract manufacturing.

We source these parts against canceled hyperscaler and defense-prime programs. Because of ITAR and dual-use considerations on some SKUs, we route defense-adjacent FPGA quotes through export-compliance review — we won't ship a controlled FPGA without the correct paperwork on your end.

FAQ

Common questions.

Can you source ITAR-controlled and defense-grade FPGAs?

We handle ITAR and EAR-controlled FPGA quotes through export-compliance review with your buying team. Defense-grade Zynq and Versal parts sourced with full manufacturer traceability, and we won't ship controlled inventory without the correct end-user certifications on file.

Do you deal with hyperscaler-excess FPGAs?

Yes. Canceled AI-server programs and hyperscaler ODM excess is one of the ways CertusPro NX and CrossLink NX become available at all in the current market. All lots come with manufacturer paperwork; we don't buy unmarked or refurbished inventory.

Can you match a specific speed grade and package?

Yes. Speed grade, temperature range, package, and lead-free indicator all matter and we quote against the exact P/N. Substituting a -8LFG for a -9LFG on a customer BOM is a decision your engineering owns, not us.

What paperwork comes with an FPGA quote?

Manufacturer certificate of conformance where the source can provide it, date code range, country of origin, RoHS status, and lot traceability. Custom paperwork (PPAP, first-article inspection) available on request.
