About FCI
FCI began in 1988 as the connector arm of French nuclear group Framatome and became a global interconnect supplier to telecom, datacom, wireless and industrial markets (ONEIC); (Amphenol). Its portfolio spanned backplane and mezzanine connectors, power connectors, I/O and flexible-circuit connectors, IC sockets, smart-card contacts and automotive harness interconnects (FCI press kit). Amphenol acquired FCI Asia in January 2016, and the automotive business had earlier been carved out (Amphenol).
