About Berg

Berg Electronics Corporation, based in St. Louis, Missouri, was one of the largest producers of electronic connectors and interconnect systems, supplying board-level headers, sockets and power connectors for computer, telecom, datacom and consumer equipment. The 0.100-inch pitch headers and floppy-drive power connectors it popularized are still referred to informally as Berg connectors and Berg strips. Framatome Connectors International completed a $1.85 billion acquisition of Berg in 1998 - then the largest deal in the connector industry - and merged it into the FCI Electronics organization, phasing out the Berg name. Amphenol acquired FCI in 2016, so the former Berg product lines now sit within Amphenol.

How do I get a quote for Berg components?

Send your part list to sales@hybridelectronics.com or use the RFQ form on our Parts Search page. Include manufacturer, part number, quantity, and any date-code or lot-code constraints. First response inside one business day.

Can Hybrid Electronics source obsolete or EOL Berg parts?

Yes. Obsolete and end-of-life Berg components are core to what we do — long-life industrial, medical, and defense platforms that outlived their production window are exactly where our OEM overstock relationships shine.
