About ATC

American Technical Ceramics Corp. (ATC) designs, develops, manufactures and markets multilayer capacitors, single layer capacitors, resistive products, inductors, low-temperature co-fired ceramics and custom thin film products for RF, microwave and millimeter-wave applications. Target markets include wireless communications infrastructure, fiber optics, medical electronics, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, defense, aerospace and satellite communications. The company was founded in 1964, incorporated in New York in 1966 as Phase Industries Inc., and adopted the American Technical Ceramics name in 1984 while headquartered in Huntington Station, New York. AVX Corporation acquired ATC in 2007 to extend its RF/microwave operations, and AVX itself became a wholly owned subsidiary of Kyocera in 2020, so the ATC line is now sold under KYOCERA AVX.
