Bourns, Inc. was founded in 1947 in Riverside, California by Marlan and Rosemary Bourns and remains a privately held, family-controlled corporation headquartered on Columbia Avenue in Riverside — the original site — with roughly 5,000 employees globally across manufacturing sites in the U.S., Mexico, Costa Rica, Ireland, Germany, Czech Republic, China, Taiwan, and Malaysia.
