Manufacturer profile
Hybrid Electronics sources Stackpole (SEI) thick-film and thin-film chip resistors, current-sense shunts, wirewound power resistors, high-voltage resistors, MELF, chip arrays, and precision fuses — from current-production RMCF, RNCF, CSS, CSR, and HVC families to legacy Stackpole Carbon axial resistors and pre-Standex lot codes still qualified into long-lifecycle industrial, automotive, medical, and defense builds. Same-day quotes, traceable stock, and OEM-excess sourcing since 1995.
Stackpole Electronics, Inc. (SEI), headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina, traces its heritage to the Stackpole Carbon Company founded in 1928 in St. Marys, Pennsylvania — one of the original American manufacturers of carbon-composition resistors. The modern resistor business was spun off as Stackpole Electronics Inc. in the 1980s and, in September 2024, was acquired by Standex International (NYSE: SXI) for approximately $200 million, combining SEI with Standex Electronics (transformers and inductors) to form a full-service passives group. As a privately held ~300-person specialist, SEI's catalog spans thick-film chip resistors (RMCF), thin-film precision resistors (RNCF), current-sense chip and Kelvin-4-terminal metal-strip shunts (CSR, CSNL, CSSH, CSS), wirewound axial and SMD (SP, RSF, SMW), high-power chassis-mount film (HPS, HPC), MELF (RMMLF), high-voltage chip and axial (HVCA, HVA), chip resistor arrays (RACF, RACS), AEC-Q200 automotive series (RMCA, RNCA, RTAN), trimmers (SDT, SCB), and a recent thin-film precision fuse line (FCB, FCX) launched in 2024.
Hybrid Electronics has been a channel for legacy and excess Stackpole product since we began sourcing in 1995. We support customers who need pre-Standex 2024 lot codes on qualified BOMs, obsolete Stackpole Carbon axial resistors (SC series) for vintage industrial and defense refurbishment, discontinued RSF fusible wirewound parts, early CSR current-sense pre-Kelvin-4-terminal revs, and hard-to-find HVCA, HVA1010, and RMMLF MELF variants when authorized channels show zero stock or long lead times. SEI's KOA-Speer distribution alliance and Vishay/Sfernice-adjacent product positioning mean many buyers cross-shop Stackpole against second-source resistor families — we help pin the exact PN, tolerance, and TCR combination.
Our line card covers Stackpole's full portfolio — from the largest catalog of general-purpose thick-film chip resistors in the industry to specialized Kelvin-4-terminal current-sense shunts, 3 kV high-voltage chips, ultra-precision bulk-metal resistors, and new thin-film precision fuses.
RMCF0402, RMCF0603, RMCF0805, RMCF1206, RMCF2010, and RMCF2512 general-purpose chip resistors with F (1%), J (5%), and A/Z tolerance grades. The largest single catalog in Stackpole's line — the workhorse family for consumer, industrial, and telecom BOMs from 1 Ω through 10 MΩ.
RNCF0402, RNCF0603, RNCF0805, RNCF1206 precision thin-film chips at 0.1% / 25 ppm/°C (B/K tolerance codes) with AEC-Q200 automotive variants (RNCF…E suffix). For low-drift analog front-ends, precision references, and instrumentation.
CSR0603, CSR1206, CSR2010, CSR2512 thick-film current-sense chips down to 10 mΩ; CSNL2010 / CSNL2512 low-inductance; and CSSH2512 ultra-low-inductance thick-film shunts for switch-mode power and motor drives.
CSS3H (3W 4320-size), CSS2H, CSSK 4-terminal Kelvin sense metal-strip current-sense resistors down to 0.2 mΩ with low inductance and tight tolerance for battery-management, EV inverter, and high-side/low-side sensing in automotive and industrial power.
SP series (SP1 through SP25) power wirewound axials from 2 W to 25 W, RSF fusible wirewound (fusing/protective wirewound), and RS silicone-coated axials. For inrush limiting, dummy loads, snubbers, and legacy through-hole industrial designs.
SMW and SMS molded SMD wirewound chips (2010, 2512 footprints) for precision low-value resistance, current sensing, and low-noise applications where thick-film TCR is unacceptable.
HPS-5 through HPS-500 and HPC-2020/HPC-5050 heat-sink-mount thick-film power resistors from 5 W to 1000 W in TO-220, TO-247, and larger aluminum-housed packages. For dynamic braking, inverter loads, and high-power test equipment.
RMMLF 0102 / 0204 / 0207 cylindrical MELF resistors, thick-film construction, precision variants to 0.1%, with excellent pulse handling and long-term stability for automotive and industrial control.
HVCA chip HV resistors (1210, 2010, 2512 sizes) to 500 V and 1 kV working voltage; HVA1010 axial-lead high-voltage up to 3 kV. For medical imaging, HV power supplies, electric-vehicle traction inverters, and test/measurement.
RNCP and RNCS metal-element ultra-precision resistors at 5 ppm/°C and 0.01% tolerance for calibration standards, precision references, and audio-measurement.
RACF (thick-film) and RACS (thin-film) 4-, 8-, and isolated-resistor networks in concave and convex chip formats for bus-termination, pull-up/pull-down banks, and compact analog scaling.
RMCA thick-film, RNCA thin-film, and RTAN anti-sulfur / anti-surge AEC-Q200 qualified chip resistors for automotive powertrain, ADAS, EV battery, and industrial-safety applications requiring full Q200 stress qualification.
SDT and SCB single-turn and multi-turn cermet trimming potentiometers (top and side adjust) for calibration and set-point adjustment in a limited catalog — often replacement stock for legacy designs.
FCB and FCX thin-film precision fuses (new 2024+ line launched under Standex ownership) for on-board over-current protection in battery packs, DC bus rails, and instrumentation front-ends where a repeatable I²t rating is critical.
RCF-VDN precision voltage-divider networks — matched-ratio thin-film networks with tight tracking TCR for feedback dividers, analog attenuators, and precision reference scaling.

Additional Stackpole thick-film chip sizes (0201, 01005), thin-film precision resistors with E-suffix AEC-Q200 lot codes, CSS Kelvin shunts down to 0.2 mΩ, HPS chassis-mount up to 1000 W, and FCB/FCX precision-fuse ratings quoted on request. All Stackpole PNs are quoted with tolerance grade, TCR letter, packaging (tape & reel, bulk), and date-code range confirmed on the RFQ.
Stackpole has been building resistors since 1928, and a long tail of legacy families still turns up on qualified BOMs — particularly in defense, medical imaging, broadcast, industrial-control, and mil-aero refurbishment programs. Hybrid Electronics sources these end-of-life and pre-Standex parts from OEM excess, contract-manufacturer surplus, and traceable secondary channels:
Send an RFQ with quantity, target date-code range, required lot markings (SEI vs Standex era), and any traceability requirements (COO, MSL, factory sealed) — we return same-day availability from stock or an ETA from our sourcing network.
RMCF general-purpose thick-film chip resistors (0402/0603/0805/1206), RNCF thin-film precision chips at 0.1%/25 ppm, CSR and CSSH current-sense chips, CSS Kelvin-4-terminal metal-strip shunts, and SP-series wirewound axials are our highest-volume Stackpole quote categories. Legacy Stackpole Carbon axial composition resistors, pre-Standex 2024 lot codes, and obsolete HVA high-voltage variants are steady low-volume sourcing lines for defense, medical, and industrial customers.
Yes — on both stocking and sourced-quote bases. Stackpole's automotive families (RMCA thick-film, RNCA thin-film, RTAN anti-sulfur and anti-surge) are qualified into powertrain, ADAS, and EV battery-management BOMs where PPAP-grade date-code control matters. Include your target quantity, tolerance/TCR combination, and required lot-code window and we will return an availability window and quoted price.
Yes when available — most of our OEM-excess and CEM-surplus Stackpole stock is factory sealed with original tape-and-reel or bulk packaging and full traceability documentation (COC, COO, date-code range, lot-code markings). For downgraded stock we disclose condition (opened reel, partial reel, tested-pull) on the quote. Customers requiring MSL data, RoHS exemption documentation, AEC-Q200 lot traceability, or DPAS-rated delivery should note that on the RFQ.
Yes — for many families we hold or can source pre-acquisition SEI-marked date codes, which is important for programs whose BOMs are frozen against specific Stackpole Electronics Inc. lot markings. Standex International completed its acquisition of Stackpole in September 2024, and both eras are supported through our inventory and sourcing network. Note the exact lot marking or date-code window you require on the RFQ.
Same day for parts in stock — typically within 2 hours during business hours (9am–6pm ET). Sourced quotes on out-of-stock parts return within 24–48 hours with an availability window. Email sales@hybridelectronics.com or call (407) 542-3995 to open an RFQ.
No — we're an independent distributor and excess-inventory buyer sourcing from OEM excess, CEM surplus, and traceable secondary channels since 1995. For factory-warranted current-production orders on Stackpole's automotive or high-reliability lines, work with an SEI-authorized franchised distributor. For obsolete Stackpole Carbon composition resistors, pre-Standex 2024 lot codes, discontinued RSF fusible wirewound, older RMMLF MELF variants, and other hard-to-find or allocated parts where authorized channels show no stock, Hybrid Electronics is a proven independent source.
