Distributor of PowerDsine components. Send us your RFQ — we'll match your part numbers to stock or source them.
PowerDsine Ltd. was founded in 1994 as a semiconductor and systems company specializing in power delivery over communications infrastructure. PowerDsine pioneered Power over LAN — the technology that became the IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) standard — and its product line included PoE injectors and midspans, PoE integrated circuits, telephone ringing generators, DSL remote power-feeding modules, and PoE test and diagnostic equipment. Microsemi acquired PowerDsine in January 2007 for approximately US$245 million, and Microchip Technology subsequently acquired Microsemi in 2018; PowerDsine products are now sold and supported under the Microchip PoE portfolio. Hybrid Electronics stocks and sources PowerDsine midspans, PoE injectors, and legacy PoE-controller part numbers for installers and OEMs supporting existing deployments.
