Micron

Micron Technology, Inc. is an American memory and storage manufacturer founded on October 5, 1978 in Boise, Idaho by Ward Parkinson, Joe Parkinson, Dennis Wilson and Doug Pitman. The company began as a semiconductor design consultancy and moved into manufacturing in 1981 with its first wafer fabrication plant, which produced 64K DRAM chips, before going public in 1984. Micron produces DRAM, NAND flash, high bandwidth memory and solid-state drives for data center, client, mobile, automotive and industrial applications, and also markets components through its SpecTek brand. It remains headquartered in Boise and reported revenue of US$37.4 billion in fiscal 2025.
