About Intel

Intel Corporation was founded in 1968 in Santa Clara, California by Gordon Moore and Robert Noyce, with Andy Grove joining shortly after. Today Intel employs roughly 124,000 people and remains the world's largest producer of x86 microprocessors, spanning client (Core i3 / i5 / i7 / i9 and Core Ultra), data center (Xeon Scalable, Xeon Max, Xeon-D, Xeon E), embedded (Atom, N-series, Core-embedded 15-year LTS SKUs), FPGAs (Altera-branded Cyclone / Arria / Stratix / Agilex / MAX), Ethernet (i210, i225 / i226, X550, X710, XL710, E810), Wi-Fi and Bluetooth (AX210, AX211, BE200), Optane persistent memory, Movidius Myriad-X VPUs, chipsets (H610, B660, Q670, W680, C246, C621, C741 server), and NUC / mini-PC boards. Intel's product strategy over the last decade includes the 2015 acquisition of Altera (FPGA), Movidius (2016), Mobileye (2017 — spun back out in 2022), and Habana Labs (2019), along with spinouts and divestitures of McAfee and Wind River and the sale of the NAND flash business to SK hynix / Solidigm (announced 2020, completed in phases through 2025). In 2024 Intel began operating the former Programmable Solutions Group as Altera Corporation again, a standalone majority-owned FPGA business.

Hybrid Electronics has been a channel for legacy and excess Intel product since 1995. We support customers who need obsolete Pentium and Celeron industrial SoCs (Apollo Lake N3350, J3455, Bay Trail E3800), Xeon E3-1200 v3 / v4 server CPUs for locked-BOM builds, legacy Altera Cyclone III / IV and Stratix IV / V FPGAs, MAX 3000 / 7000 CPLDs, StrataFlash JS28F embedded NOR, IXP network processors, older Intel 82576 / 82580 / 82599 Ethernet MAC/PHY, and Intel-badged NAND SSDs (D3-S4520, D5-P5316, D7-P5510) that transitioned to Solidigm and are no longer supplied through authorized channels under Intel's part number. We also carry current production Core Ultra Meteor Lake, Xeon Sapphire Rapids / Emerald Rapids, Agilex 7 / 5 / 3 FPGAs, E810 100GbE controllers, and Wi-Fi 7 BE200 modules when authorized distribution shows zero stock or extended lead times.

Intel product families we source

Our line card spans Intel's full portfolio — from Meteor Lake Core Ultra and 5th-Gen Xeon silicon shipping into new server platforms today, to end-of-life Altera Cyclone III, StrataFlash NOR, and Xeon E3 v3 devices keeping industrial, medical, aerospace, and defense systems in service.

Core desktop & laptop CPUs

Core i3 / i5 / i7 / i9 across 12th, 13th, and 14th Gen (Alder Lake, Raptor Lake, Raptor Lake Refresh) and the new Core Ultra 5 / 7 / 9 Meteor Lake mobile / Arrow Lake desktop SKUs. Tray and boxed, K / KF / F / T / H / U / HX / P variants for OEM, workstation, and mini-PC integrators.

Additional stepping, packaging, and speed-grade variants across Core Ultra, Xeon 6 (Granite Rapids / Sierra Forest), Agilex 5 / 3, and E810 100GbE also quoted on request. Intel-badged NAND, Optane, and NUC parts are excess / EOL — supply is finite and traceable to OEM and CEM channels. Export-controlled advanced silicon (Xeon Max, Agilex 7 I-series, Habana Gaudi) subject to EAR screening.

Obsolete & hard-to-find Intel parts

Intel roadmaps move quickly, and both the client and embedded portfolios have deep legacy trails. Industrial control, medical imaging, defense electronics, avionics, telecom, and POS systems routinely need continued access to end-of-life Intel and Altera devices. Hybrid Electronics sources these obsolete parts from OEM excess, contract-manufacturer surplus, and traceable secondary channels:

Frequently asked questions

Is Hybrid Electronics an authorized Intel distributor?

No — we're an independent distributor and excess-inventory buyer sourcing from OEM excess, CEM surplus, and traceable secondary channels since 1995.

Can you supply Intel-badged NAND SSDs after the Solidigm sale?

Yes, from remaining OEM and CEM excess. Intel's NAND / SSD business was sold to SK hynix (Solidigm) and legacy Intel-branded parts such as the D3-S4610, D5-P5316, D7-P5510, and older DC S3510 / S4500 are no longer produced by Intel — new production carries Solidigm branding. Hybrid can also cross Intel PNs to their Solidigm equivalents when the customer will accept a rebrand.

Do you carry Altera Cyclone III / IV and MAX II legacy FPGAs?

Yes. Devices such as EP4CE22F17C8N, EP3C25E144C8N, EPM570F100C5N, and Stratix IV EP4SGX230 are still in high demand for long-lifecycle industrial, medical, and defense systems. Because these were EOL'd well before the Altera rebrand, we source them exclusively from OEM excess, CEM surplus, and vetted secondary channels — every device is inspected and traceable.

Can you quote Intel Embedded 15-year LTS SKUs (Whiskey Lake, Elkhart Lake, Coffee Lake)?

Yes. We track Intel's Embedded Roadmap SKUs (i7-8665UE, i7-9700E, i5-8365UE, Atom x6425RE, x6427FE, Elkhart Lake and Alder Lake-N embedded parts) that carry 15-year PCN commitments. When authorized distribution shows extended lead times, we bridge with OEM excess and locked-BOM material.

Do you handle Optane persistent memory and Optane SSDs?

Yes — Optane DC Persistent Memory (100 and 200 series DCPMM), Optane SSD DC P5800X (SSDPEL1K family), P1600X, and Optane Memory M10 / H10 / H20 are all being wound down by Intel. Supply is finite and secondary-market only. Hybrid quotes what is available with full traceability and lot documentation.

What documentation and QA come with an Intel quote?

Every Intel line ships with lot / date-code documentation, packing photos on request, and traceability back to source (OEM excess, CEM surplus, or vetted broker). AS9120B / ISO 9001 processes apply; export-controlled devices (Xeon Max, high-end Agilex, Habana) are screened for EAR / BIS compliance before quote.
