About Fairchild

Fairchild Semiconductor International, Inc. was founded on October 1, 1957, in Sunnyvale, California, and is one of the foundational companies of Silicon Valley. Fairchild pioneered the planar integrated circuit, MOS integrated circuits, charge-coupled devices, and silicon-carbide power transistors, and manufactured integrated circuits, signal processors, motor controllers, MOSFETs and other discrete power semiconductors, small-signal transistors, low-voltage logic, and optocouplers for consumer, industrial, and automotive markets. ON Semiconductor (now onsemi) acquired Fairchild Semiconductor in an all-cash US$2.4 billion transaction completed September 19, 2016, and continues to produce and support Fairchild-branded parts under the onsemi portfolio. Hybrid Electronics stocks and sources Fairchild parts across all of its historical catalogs — from discrete power and small-signal transistors to legacy Fairchild alpha-numeric part numbers no longer active at onsemi.

Fairchild product families we stock

  • Discrete power semiconductors (MOSFETs, IGBTs)
  • Small-signal transistors and diodes
  • Low-voltage logic (LCX, LVX, VCX, VHC families)
  • Infrared emitters and optocouplers
  • Power-management ICs and motor controllers
  • Legacy Fairchild alpha-numeric part numbers

FAQ

Common questions.

Does Hybrid Electronics stock Fairchild parts?

Hybrid Electronics sources Fairchild components through our OEM excess and franchise-adjacent channels. Send us your BOM or part numbers and we'll confirm stock, pricing, and lead time.

How do I get a quote for Fairchild components?

Send your part list to sales@hybridelectronics.com or use the RFQ form on our Parts Search page. Include manufacturer, part number, quantity, and any date-code or lot-code constraints. First response inside one business day.

Can Hybrid Electronics source obsolete or EOL Fairchild parts?

Yes. Obsolete and end-of-life Fairchild components are core to what we do — long-life industrial, medical, and defense platforms that outlived their production window are exactly where our OEM overstock relationships shine.
